Workshop Part 2

The second concept for Julie Parker's workshop was inspired by Sleeping Beauty. Julie's daughter Wren (who is also a talented photographer) was the model.

Workshop Part 1

A few months ago Julie Parker emailed me and asked me if I would be interested in styling the models for her workshop this year. OF COURSE I WOULD! Julie is an amazing photographer and was kind enough to share some of her skills and knowledge with this lucky group of photographers -

The first concept was a vintage bride and groom shoot, inspired by travel. What a fun idea, right?? The model Alex was perfect for the part. She already has a pixie cut (perfect for finger waves) and she has nice, full lips (perfect for a deep red lipstick). Here's how it all came together -

Perla

Play Session

Camilla Binks is a photographer South of Salt Lake who offers a really fun package called a Play Session. Basically it's just an excuse to get dressed up and have your picture taken! We teamed up for this Play Session for Alex. So fun!

Fog Photo Shoot

OK, to start, I want you all to guess how old this model is. . . .I thought she was at least 20, but she's not even that. Not 20, not 18, not even 16. She's FOURTEEN. Does that blow your mind a little? She is gorgeous and if I were her parents I would be worried! Thanks to the talented Julie Parker for this fun photo shoot. She's fantastic!

Vintage Glam

Let me say, this photo shoot was definitely one of my favorites. The location, dress (which is my grandma's wedding dress) and model were all beautiful! I loved creating this 1940's look. For the hair I went with a classic chignon low in the back, dressed up with fingerwaves and pin curls on the sides. For make up I did a softer red lip color with a strong cat-eye and strong brows. The way women wore their hair and make-up was so classy back then! Thanks again to Amber Weimer for the pictures.
